Wind Chimes Her Name

Breezes waft scent of honeysuckles
past fields of blue, gold and lilac.
I can see you dancing, still;
laughter, soft like baby’s breath
tickling angel souls, touching stars

to add a little twinkle
for lovers to swoon over.

I see tresses flowing,
fingertips delicate upon ivory; lullabies
to cradle hearts at a time so pure
when caress is all that is missing
from pastel colored memories.

I saw a snow white bird on the sill;
beak as red as your heart
singing: she could not stay,
but leaving beauty

from every fluttering feather
calling her home.

~ {for a friend and poetic soul that we lost last week to Leukemia. ❤ RIP. Karen}
