Interlude between kisses

Those willows,

those willows
they weep like words
through my fingers;
from mine, to his
to our holding hands
in the night

when whispers form hearts
and thoughts roam,
gently, fragile

like her love for daffodils
just before summer
and bells that chime soft
upon the coolness

of Sunday
afternoons.
