The Questions Given Me to Answer:
1. What author do you admire most?
Elizabeth Barrett Browning. I admire so many things about her,
especially all that she had to endure during her 55 years of life and her beautiful Sonnets, but it was her love story with Robert Browning which captured my heart.
2. What is the first chapter book you remember reading?
In my youth, the book I remember most is “The Outsiders” by S. E. Hinton.
In that book, I also discovered one of my favorite poems: “Nothing Gold Can Stay”
by Robert Frost.
3. When did you first know you wanted to write?
I was a small child when I fell in love with poetry. I remember memorizing poems as early as 5 or 6 years old and there is where my desire to write poetry began.
4. What was the first poem you ever wrote?
I began writing as a child and do not remember the name of my first poem, but I am sure it probably included flowers and butterflies. 🙂
5. What are your goals in writing?
My goal has always been to touch people through my words, emotionally, spiritually;
to make them feel something! I write a poem a day in April each year for National Poetry Month and I also do a series “a poem a day for Jesus” each year from Thanksgiving through Christmas. I have published 2 collections of poetry and have plans for the 3rd to be released later this year.
6. What have you written that you are most proud of?
A poem entitled “If Only to Melt” because it embodies my reason for writing and how it began. here is a link to that poem: https://allpoetry.com/poem/3273060-If-Only-To-Melt—by-poet2angels
7. Did you ever have an imaginary friend? If so, when did you meet this friend?
I actually did not have an imaginary friend. The one I would talk to as a child and still do in times of silence when I need someone supernatural is Jesus/the Holy Spirit. He is always there, unconditionally.
8. What is your favorite fiction novel?
The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath
9. What is your favorite song?
Difficult question! There are so many songs I love.
I would say right now, it would be “Holy Water” by We the Kingdom
10. What is your favorite color?
Pink and lavender
11. What fictional character reflects you best?
I have always identified with Cinderella in a metaphoric sort of way.
The Fragrance Writer
Poetry from John Looker
Night Owl Poetry – Dorinda Duclos
THE ALCHEMIST’S STUDIO
O at the Edges
